China - Mediterranean
The China-Mediterranean route is the core maritime trunk line of the Maritime Silk Road. Ships depart from major ports in China, pass through the Suez Canal, and enter the Mediterranean Sea, which is divided into the East Mediterranean and West Mediterranean branches. The shipping schedule is approximately 25-32 days. Relying on the Piraeus Port, sea-rail intermodal transportation can be carried out, radiating to markets in Southern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, and North Africa. The shipping route has stable capacity, suitable for exporting bulk goods such as electromechanical products, photovoltaic equipment, and furniture, as well as importing goods like olive oil and marble. Compared to the northwest European route to southern Europe, it offers faster delivery times. It can bypass the Cape of Good Hope to mitigate shipping risks, enriching China's Asia-Europe maritime supply chain layout.
China-Europe Railway Express
The China Railway Express is the golden land route of the Belt and Road Initiative, departing from domestic hubs such as Chongqing, Xi'an, and Zhengzhou, and reaching core stations in multiple European countries. It operates on a fixed schedule and takes approximately 12-18 days to complete the journey. Its timeliness is superior to sea transportation and its cost is lower than air transportation, without being affected by maritime geopolitical risks. Suitable for high value-added goods such as photovoltaic products, electromechanical devices, and automotive parts, it supports full container loads (FCL) and less than container loads (LCL), with bidirectional regular operations. As an important land route between Asia and Europe, it effectively enriches cross-border logistics options, aids inland enterprises in exploring the European market, and solidifies a diversified supply chain.

The China Railway Express is the core land route of the Belt and Road Initiative, originating from domestic hubs such as Chongqing, Xi'an, and Zhengzhou, and directly reaching core European nodes. It operates on fixed schedules and with a transportation time of 12-18 days, which is faster than sea transportation and less expensive than air transportation, and is less susceptible to maritime geopolitical conflicts. It can transport high value-added goods such as photovoltaic, electromechanical, and automotive parts, supporting full container loads and less than container loads, with regular two-way transportation. It opens up inland sea routes, enriches the Asia-Europe logistics system, and builds a stable and reliable land supply chain for foreign trade enterprises.
